Overview
QA Assist helps users turn product specifications, Jira issues, and acceptance criteria into reviewable test plans. This policy explains what data the app processes and how it is used.
Data We Process
- Account data, such as your name, email, and profile image from your sign-in provider.
- Feature descriptions, imported issue text, generated test cases, review statuses, and project names.
- Operational data needed to run the service, such as authentication tokens and database records.
AI Processing
When you generate test cases, QA Assist sends your feature description to Anthropic's API to produce structured test cases. QA Assist does not use your specs or generated test cases to train AI models.
Anthropic states that, by default, inputs and outputs from commercial products such as the Anthropic API are not used to train their models. Anthropic also states that API inputs and outputs are automatically deleted from its backend within 30 days, except for limited cases such as legal, safety, or separately agreed retention requirements.
Jira Imports
Jira email addresses and API tokens entered into the Jira import form are used only to fetch the requested issue for that import request. QA Assist does not store Jira API tokens in the application database in the current implementation.
Retention
Signed-in generation history is retained so you can revisit, edit, and export reviewed plans. Guest inputs are not saved to history by QA Assist. Project names and saved generations remain stored until they are deleted or removed by request.
